Villa 25 de Mayo is a village located 25 km from the city of San Rafael, which in its origins and historical development is considered a museum inhabited. It exhibits many villages made of adobe, and has a strong call San Rafael del Diamante, which has been declared a National Historic Landmark. Many locals define people as a Slow Pueblo.
The town arose in 1805, after the founding of Fort San Rafael del Diamante. Currently, you can visit the remains of the fort along with the Plaza de Armas. If you want to go a bit further from the village, two kilometers from the dam Galileo Vitale is the first building on the Diamond River, whose waters are used for irrigation.
