ATUEL RIVER RAFTING
The
descent is undertaken on the clear thaw waters coming down from the
mountains on rubber boats taking people of all ages through different
landscapes, starting in Valle Grande, 40 kilometers from San Rafael. The
Atuel can be enjoyed throughout the year although the very best time of
year to do so is from November to March.
In a
scale of I to VI the Atuel presents a difficulty of II and III, I being
the easiest and VI impracticable. This fact makes rafting here to be
open to all types of public; there are varied possibilities due to
distances covered and the geological course of the river which can range
in duration from 1 to 2 hours.
This
is a great river adventure full of excitement/adrenalin with sounds,
shouting and incredible landscapes, the boats taking visitors along
colorful rocky formations, playing with the waters and bringing people
to laugh and enjoy the moment forgetting time for a while. Rafting is
clearly a team sport as every participant must row, orient his body
weight and coordinate movements in the rapids so as to keep the boat
afloat.
